Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities
 
  • Reach and or exceed assigned revenue, sales call activity goals, and manage assigned action plans for specific assigned segments.
  • Active participation in daily, monthly, and quarterly revenue management strategies.
  • Update and manage hotel content on Brand websites and 3rd party channels to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and current.
  • Drive awareness through Social Media channels.
  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals. This will consist of telephone/email communication, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication.
  • Responsible for consistent and ongoing prospecting to capture new business via leads generated through personal sales efforts to identify new sources of business.
  • Qualify leads and prospects gained from cold calls, telemarketing, news articles, referrals, sales, blitzes, brand sales leads, convention bureau leads, and other sources.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly action plans, budgets, marketing plans, developing and implementing strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for assigned segments.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key clients to produce repeat group bookings.
  • Conduct site inspections of the hotel and facilities and incorporate other departments whenever possible.
  • Prepare correspondence to customers, internal bookings reports and file maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate sales contracts, production reports, and records for all assigned accounts.
  • Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers.
  • Assist in pre-opening activities for new hotels including site tours, prospecting, marketing activities and client entertainment.
  • Complete expense reports and all other assigned paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hotel experience and expertise in selling at least two of the following brands: IHG, Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, or Choice.

  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

  • Strong Listening, oral/written communication, and presentation skills

  • Solid analytical and technical abilities

  • Thorough understanding of sales functions.

  • Ability to recognize opportunities and potential Issues and take proactive measures.

  • Computer skills that include Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work both independently and on a team.
